One of my primary duties at Pinch Provisions was art directing our biannual catalog. I was responsible for initial concepts, pre-shots, prop shopping, styling on set, coordinating and scheduling with third-party vendors, editing, print production, layout/pagination, color correction, and delivery as well as preparing the catalog for its online iteration on Issuu.com.

At Publications International I am a senior art director, social media creator, and graphic designer. I create the social media content calendar for Instagram and Facebook, post daily, compile statistics, run ads, and art direct social-only photoshoots. All photos taken by our in-house photographer or, on occasion, by me with my cell phone camera.

As the art director for Pinch Provisions, I styled product photoshoots for print and social media. I sourced and purchased props and backgrounds, styled on set, researched photography styles, product competitors, and created mood boards, art directed, frequently shot, and edited all of the photos in the feed at left. Any photos that I didn’t create are grayed out.

With photos taken during my tenure, Pinch gained 1000 new Instagram followers in less than two months and completed the most-liked giveaway in the company's history.

This book was featured on Ellen: The Ellen Degeneres Show.

Cook for the Cure is a custom book for KitchenAid. Inside are recipes intended for sharing including special sections before each chapter from bloggers. I art directed the photo shoot for this book and styled the props as well as designed and laid out the cover and pages. To begin the project I created (baked and designed) four Cook for the Cure pies to experiment with type and layout, which Publications International then decided to reshoot using a professional food stylist for this book.

Ice Cream Party is a hardcover book with a jacket created for Target stores. It was designed to be merchandised with brightly colored, sprinkle- and ice cream-themed items just in time for spring.

For this title I incorporated whimsical flourish details, hand-drawn fonts, bright colors, and LOTS of sprinkles (just check out the end sheet where I made a repeat pattern of rainbow "jimmies").

Each chapter has a color-coded band running vertically along the side of the page in a different sprinkle color. All photography was pre-existing.

I interned with the Special Projects Group at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where I worked on special issues of Martha Stewart Living, books, and iPad applications. My primary focus was on the 2011 Halloween special issue of Martha Stewart Living. I copyedited/proofread, researched products for The Guide section of the magazine, edited The Recipes section of the magazine, tested stencils and patterns to ensure they worked, and administered quality control checks of the issue both on paper and using K4.
